Santa Fe Budd RDC-1 DC-191 has been preserved at the
Pacific Railroad
Society. Last operated by the Santa Fe in April 1968, this
unit has been a popular subject for models with N-scale (Kato), HO-scale
(Proto 1000) and G-scale (Aristocraft) models of it available.
Stuart tells us:
Looking up DC-191 in the Duke and Keilty book reveals: Road Number DC191, Budd Builders Number 5603, built April 29th 1952. Notes: wrecked at Redondo Junction, California on January 23rd 1956, rebuilt at Santa Fe Shops at Topeka, Kansas, in 1958. Sold to Baltimore and Ohio as No 1913 in 1970.
